These Terms govern your use of the Pray Aloud mobile application and the prayaloud.app website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you download the app from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies where these Terms are silent.
Pray Aloud provides daily scripture (from the public-domain World English Bible), written prayers, and tools for building a personal prayer habit. It is spiritual encouragement, not professional advice: nothing in the Service is medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for care from qualified professionals or for the counsel of your own faith community.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control. You agree not to copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or misuse the Service, and not to use it in any unlawful way.
Your spoken prayers are processed on your device and never transmitted to us — see the Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms. Content you keep in the app (journal entries, your covenant) stays on your device; keeping a backup of your device is your responsibility, and uninstalling the app deletes local data.
Scripture quotations are from the World English Bible (public domain). Prayers, text, design, and branding are owned by us or our licensors and are provided for your personal use. You may share content the app explicitly lets you share (such as verse cards).
We may update, change, or discontinue features (or the Service) at any time. We'll be thoughtful about it, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may update these Terms — material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, arising from your use of the Service; our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. Sections 4–9 survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts — except where the law of your country of residence gives you rights that cannot be waived.
